Sara A. Heistand is a Wisconsin-based writer of fantasy and literary fiction, often set in her home state of Pennsylvania. She is a stay-at-home mother of two children. She has been writing poetry and short stories since the age of 6. With the confidence of a ’90s child pioneer of the Internet, Sara submitted a dramatic poem about a horse to a children’s anthology contest online. Surprisingly, it was included and the anthology was sent to her elementary school in Pittsburgh, PA. Excruciatingly shy 9-year old Sara performed this piece (“Whisper”) during a school assembly and it remains scorched into her psyche forever and ever, Amen. This was her first and since only publication.
In this blog, you can find Sara’s updates on her novel and her flash fiction.
Questions? Answers? Collaboration? A friendly hello? I’d love to hear from you!
